- Who can use Motorista?
- Motorista is built for two groups: vehicle owners who want to put their cars to work and TVDE drivers looking for a verified vehicle with clear working terms.
- How does the vehicle-owner model work?
- You list your vehicle, set its availability and working terms, and connect with verified TVDE drivers through Motorista. The vehicle operates under Motorista’s operating structure, while you can follow the agreement, working status and weekly settlement in one place.
- How does driver verification work?
- Drivers provide the required identity, driving, TVDE and other relevant documents. Their profiles are reviewed before they can move forward with a match.
- Is income guaranteed?
- No. Motorista does not guarantee a specific income level. Results depend on factors such as the vehicle, location, working hours, driver, market demand, maintenance, insurance and other costs.
- Who sets the rental price?
- The vehicle owner sets the rental price and working terms. The driver reviews and accepts those terms before the match is activated.
- How much does Motorista cost?
- Listing is free. When your vehicle is rented, Motorista charges a €25 service fee per vehicle per week. Drivers join for free. Vehicle rent is separate.
- How does weekly settlement work?
- Uber/Bolt activity and payment data are reviewed and matched to the active vehicle, driver and agreement. Approved rental, earnings and other relevant items are then shown in the weekly settlement. The current target is to distribute approved payments on Tuesday, subject to platform and banking timelines.
- What happens if a driver leaves?
- The active agreement’s notice and early-exit terms apply first. Once the return process is completed, the vehicle can be listed again and connected with another suitable driver from the verified network.
- Do I need to set up my own company or obtain a TVDE operator licence?
- No. Vehicle owners do not need to set up their own company or obtain their own TVDE operator licence for the Motorista model. Motorista provides the operator layer through its own operating structure. The required agreements, insurance and legal conditions still apply.
- Can I take my car back whenever I want?
- Not necessarily at any moment. Once a match is active, the agreed notice and early-exit terms apply. After the notice period and return process are completed, the vehicle can be taken back or listed again for another match.
- Is Motorista available in every city?
- Yes. Motorista is available throughout Portugal.
